Hello Nana,

There is no problem to simulate a model with holes or with "extrange" DEMs. Here you can see a flood event in an urban area in which the buildings have been simulated as a hole:

So, the problem should be related to othe thing. Please, revise that your DEM and model are properly defined. As I mention, it seems the DEM is a little bit smaller than your geometry in Iber. This is why whe you update the mesh elevation with the DEM, the border of the inner hole has no elevation.
